Little LUMI Model Optional extras, ranked for a real desktop
All four toys start off. Voice Pack and extra Lumis are opt-in too.
Optional in Little LUMI Model means off until you touch it. Bongo Lumi, Floating Garden, Pythagoras, and Window toss all ship disabled. Extra Lumis wait on Call Another LUMI. The Voice Pack waits on a Workshop subscribe plus a Sound-tab pick. LUMI Chat waits on a separate mod and an API key. This page ranks those opt-ins for a Windows 11 desktop you actually work on.
Ranks are wiki opinion, grounded in store copy and Very Positive launch reviews. Week-one order: first-week setup. Manuals: optional extras, Workshop, multiple Lumis. Snapshot: feature rank hub.
A: Broadcast mode, Voice Pack, extra Lumis
Broadcast mode — A for streamers, skip for work. Patch 1.1.0 (4 September 2026) adds a Broadcast tab. Start Broadcast mode and she leaves the desktop to live in an OBS capture surface. Ranked A if you stream, not S, because a work desktop does not want her to vanish from the taskbar. How-to: Broadcast mode. Note: 1.1.0.
A continued: Voice Pack and extra Lumis
LUMI Voice Pack — A, almost S if you like hearing her. Subscribe on the Steam Workshop, fully restart Lumi, open Sound, pick 루미 보이스 팩. It voices self-talk and meeting chats that already existed as bubbles. No key, no invoice. Ranked A instead of S only because a silent office may not want sudden streamer voice on a shared floor.
Call Another LUMI — A after hotfix 1.0.1. Two or more chat, high-five, share credits, march, gather, and play tag. That is how you meet The Two of Them. Ranked A, not S, because a Parade error dialog could freeze Settings until hotfix 1.0.1 (3 September 2026). Update first, then summon. Still one local desktop.
B-band: the four official extras
Bongo Lumi — high B. A desk-bound Lumi sits in the corner and hits bongos when you type or move the mouse. Most “desktop pet” of the four, and the obvious match for Bongo Debut. Enable where keyboard noise is already allowed. Disable on a call.
Floating Garden — mid B. Draw islands and ladders. She walks them, climbs them, and settles on top. Opening the Garden almost certainly lives here. You must author the playground, so a bad island over a document is clutter. Put it on a spare monitor with stay on this monitor.
Pythagoras — low B. Place platforms, trampolines, walls, and ladders to send Lumi to the goal. Goal! is the matching name. Play it when you would otherwise open a browser idle toy. Do not leave a trampoline over an invoice.
Window toss — C, listed with the four because the store does. She picks up a window and throws it off the screen. Out the Window is the matching name. Try it once on a junk window. Never leave it armed next to a presentation. Toss, unlock, turn it off.
C: LUMI Chat
LUMI Chat is not the Voice Pack. Chat is a separate optional mod where you enter an API key and talk with Lumi directly. The voice there is generated TTS. The Voice Pack is pre-recorded lines on systems she already had. Chat is ranked C because it adds an account, a key, and a billing story this $3.99 offline-by-default pet otherwise refuses. It is not required for behaviours, affection, or the 50 Steam achievements.
Not extras
Focus mode, auto detect, pomodoro, alarms, favours, opacity, size, Sharp/Smooth/hqx, chooser at startup, info screen, hide on fullscreen, stay on this monitor, and the tray icon are settings. They belong in first-week setup and the settings checklist. Workshop extra characters inherit whatever modes you already enabled — do not stack a new walker, Bongo, Garden, and three Lumis in the same ten minutes.
Suggested enable order (opinion): Voice Pack if the room can take it; one extra Lumi after 1.0.1; Bongo after hours; Garden on a spare monitor; Pythagoras as a break; Window toss as a one-shot; Chat only if you already understand the key.
If a mode fights focus mode, focus wins. The product is sold as “she is simply there, doing her own thing, while you work.” Optional extras are how she stops being simple. When in doubt, keep the four disabled and spend the week on head pats. She already has 64 behaviours. You do not need a trampoline to find out whether you like her.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for new Little LUMI Model owners.
Are Bongo, Garden, Pythagoras, and Window toss on by default?
No. All four optional extras start off. You switch them on when you want that stage.
Is the Voice Pack an optional extra in the same list?
It is a Workshop item, not one of the four extras. Pick 루미 보이스 팩 on the Sound tab after a full restart. This wiki still ranks it as an opt-in feature.
Why is Window toss ranked C?
Because she throws a real window off the screen. It is funny once and rude during work. The store lists it; the wiki does not have to love it.
Do I need LUMI Chat to use the other modes?
No. Chat is a separate optional mod with an API key. Extra Lumis, extras, and the Voice Pack do not depend on it.
Which optional modes have confirmed achievement names?
Bongo Debut, Opening the Garden, Goal!, and Out the Window line up with the four extras. See the achievements page for the hedging on those matches.
